Ptah bites

Ptah is an ancient Egyptian creator god, the god of craftsmen and architects, who according to mythology brought the world into existence through pure thought and word. “Ptah Hapt” seems to capture this creative force in a hybrid creature, a fish-like form with a split mouth enclosing a heart. In this context, the work refers to the duality of creation and transformation—the power to form something new or to devour it.
