Ex Libris

This work (1995) combines symbolism, mysticism and playfulness. The three owls, often associated with wisdom and insight, refer to the legendary Tijl Uilenspiegel, the trickster who revealed truth through mockery and satire. Above them floats a golden ring with the name of Maria Angela ring in it like a halo, which gives their presence an almost sacred or visionary status.
